Smirnoff Copper Cup - BarShow 2008 Awarded Stand of the Year

During its time of execution, the Smirnoff Black Copper Cup was the country’s number one cocktail competition. No other bartender competition saw as many bartenders compete to win, nor did any other have such a challenging format for the finals.

In 2008 we took the competition to BarShow.

Hundreds of bartenders were taken through a short masterclass on the properties of this excellent pot distilled wheat-based vodka before they were given the challenge of creating a winning cocktail on the spot.

The drinks were tasted by an expert team of judges and the winner earned a spot in the national final – which in 2008 saw 10 bartenders travel to Thailand to compete for the title.
